The Purple Xperience is a five-piece group hailing from Prince’s birthplace, Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have been touring around the country since it’s inception in 2011 by Dr. Fink and front-man Marshall Charloff – bringing the greatest and most authentic production of Prince and The Revolution in the world to audiences of all generations. Ellie Kanayama on Violin

Ellie Kanayama currently studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin, majoring in violin performance under Prof. Mark Gothoni. She has received top prizes in competitions, including Youngarts, VOCE, Etude Club of Berkeley and American String Teacher Association, as well as concerto competitions with Fremont Symphony and Young People’s Symphony Orchestra. Kanayama is also a recipient of the Jacqueline Freiger Music Scholarship, and plays on a violin on loan from the Chimei Museum of Taiwan.
