The number of crime incidents in Philadelphia last week remained roughly even with the week before, according to data from CrimeoMeter, which collects reports from police agencies and validated sources.

Drug-related offenses and assault led the increase in crime reports. Drug-related offenses rose to 236 incidents last week, from 189 the week before. Assault went from 563 to 602.

While somewhat smaller categories, there was also a sizable percentage increase in prostitution, from five incidents per week to 42, and in rape or sexual assault, from 17 to 34 incidents.

There were 127 reported robbery incidents last week. That represents an increase from 122 incidents the previous week. There were also 55 incidents of weapons offenses, up from 33 the week before.

Among the few types of offenses that saw a downturn last week, reports of auto burglary went from 286 to 249. Incidents of vandalism fell from 287 to 254, and theft went down from 540 to 510.

There were 830 reports of miscellaneous other crimes, a decrease of 22 from the previous week. Other crimes includes a variety of offenses like trespassing, public disturbance and violation of a court order.

Considering the concentration of crime across the city, Upper Kensington, Haddington and Logan Square had the most reported incidents last week. Upper Kensington and Haddington were at the top of the list the previous week as well.

Crime in Logan Square went up the most. Crime reports in Hartranft also rose, after declining the week before, and incidents in Juniata Park are up considerably as well.

Regarding when most crimes are committed, Thursday, Tuesday and Monday continued to have the most crime incidents last week. The largest increase from the previous week occurred on Thursday, Wednesday and Tuesday, while incidents on Saturday, Monday and Friday went down. Comparing times of day, late afternoon, evening and midday saw the most crime last week.
