A new deli and imported food shop, specializing in Korean groceries, is now open in the neighborhood. Located at 1235 Ninth Ave. in the Inner Sunset, the new arrival is called Queens.

Billed as a "Korean superette," the new business carries "everything you'll need to stock a full Korean pantry and then prepare a bomb Korean meal at home," according to its website.

Queens stocks heirloom Asian vegetables, marinated meats, fresh kimchi and imported goods like snacks, noodles, sauces, spices, oils, coffee and tea. The shop also has a grab-and-go case with portions of kimchi and other banchan, as well as prepared fare like daegu jeon and gimbap.

With a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Queens has already made a good impression.

Yelper Steve J. wrote, "Our new favorite Korean grocery store in San Francisco. Small but well-curated, with the very best options and a good produce and marinated meat offering."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Queens is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on Wednesday–Sunday.
