Hungry? A new neighborhood Mediterranean spot has you covered. Called Pinched on the River, the fresh addition is located at 443 E. Illinois St. in Streeterville.

Pinched on the River offers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a build-your-own-dish style. Choose from a pita roll, salad bowl or rice bowl. Then select a protein, up to four toppings and a sauce.

With a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, the new spot is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Jeff L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 30, wrote, "Great tasty food. Large portions and expertly-seasoned Mediterranean fare. Owner Nasi offers a friendly environment right on the Chicago River."

Yelper Alisa C. added, “Just had a great late lunch at this Mediterranean restaurant sitting outside on the river. I had the salad bowl with chicken shawarma with hummus, tabouli and Mediterranean salad. Definitely recommend!”
