To find out who made the list, we looked at Sacramento businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on the number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month, and tracked businesses that consistently increased their volume of reviews to identify statistically significant outliers compared to past performance.

Open since August, this bar and breakfast and brunch spot, which offers soul food and more, is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "Breakfast & Brunch" on Yelp.
Citywide, breakfast and brunch spots saw a median 1.5% increase in new reviews over the past month, but Fixins Soul Kitchen saw a striking 1,430% increase, with a slight downward trend from a five-star rating a month ago to 4.5 stars today. Moreover, on a month-to-month basis, Fixins Soul Kitchen's review count increased by more than 1,300%.

While businesses categorized as "American (New)" on Yelp saw a median 1.3% increase in new reviews over the past month, Tiger bagged a 9.6% increase in new reviews within that time frame, with a slight downward trend from a four-star rating a month ago to its current 3.5 stars. It significantly outperformed the previous month by gaining 1.7 times more reviews than expected based on its past performance.
Open at 722 K St. since 2018, Tiger offers burgers, bacon-wrapped hot dogs and tacos with fillings like roasted cauliflower or grilled jerk chicken.

There's more than one hot spot trending in Sacramento's seafood category: Crawdads On The River has seen a 0.5% increase in reviews.
Ono Hawaiian BBQ offers crispy shrimp, island white fish, teriyaki chicken and Spam musubi, as well as fresh coconut juice. Over the past month, it's maintained a mixed 3.5-star rating among Yelpers.
