A new Australian-style cafe has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Citizens of Bleecker, the fresh arrival is located at 155 Bleecker St. in Greenwich Village.

Citizens of Bleecker is the third venture from cafe group Citizens, which launched its flagship cafe in Chelsea, in 2016 (a Gramercy location followed in 2018).

Like the other two locations, the new cafe, which took over the Pig Bleecker space, offers modern Aussie-style breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days a week. Stop in for muesli and yogurt bowls with fresh fruit, the Pulled Pork Benny with chipotle hollandaise, the avocado toast garnished with beet hummus and pumpkin seeds or the Belgian waffle with sage-brown butter maple syrup.

The new arrival has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp.

Emily B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 13, wrote, "Citizens is by far my favorite coffee shop in Manhattan! The aesthetic and atmosphere of the cafe is perfect for breakfast, brunch and catching up with friends."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Citizens of Bleecker is open from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekends.
