New Theater District Latin American spot Taco Dumbo opens its doors

If you've got Latin American food on your mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. The new addition to the Theater District, called Taco Dumbo, is located at 114 W. 47th St.

This is the seventh location of the rapidly expanding taqueria, which currently has outposts in Brooklyn, SoHo and various parts of Midtown, with plans to add three more Manhattan locations and one Boston location.

Taco Dumbo's menu features Southern California-style tacos made with proteins like rotisserie chicken and beef short rib. The spot offers a variety of gluten-free and vegan options, too. Other menu items include salads, rice bowls, nachos and vegan soft serve.

This new location also has a beach bar-style bar area where guests can enjoy one of Taco Dumbo's signature cold-pressed juice margaritas, in flavors like apple ginger lemon cayenne and watermelon basil.

The fresh addition has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of 21 reviews on Yelp.

Tiffany A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 10, wrote, "The food is delicious and guilt-free. I love that there are vegan, vegetarian and meat options here. Easily some of the best tacos ever."

Yelper Carolyn G. noted, "I love this spot! The food is delicious, and the ambience is perfect."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Taco Dumbo is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
