Sightglass Coffee survived a brush with fire this morning at its SoMa headquarters, located at 270 7th St. (and Folsom).

The Fire Department first reported the potential fire at 10:37 a.m., with crews blocking off the street to address the one-alarm incident. Observers on Twitter reported that smoke could be seen coming from the building.

Luckily, the issue wasn't serious; reached via email, Sightglass co-owner Jerad Morrison described it as "a small smolder in our ducting."

"We are open as usual now," he said.

According to Sightglass' website, the Seventh Street space houses the company's production roastery and headquarters, in addition to its popular coffee bar. The company has three other San Francisco locations — in the Mission, on Divisadero and inside the SFMOMA.

We reached out to SFFD for more information about the cause of the fire, and will update this story if we get more details.
