Clothing options in the Upper Haight continue to grow this year, following the additions of Indigo Vintage and Cary Lane. Now, there's also Trove.

Trove, open at 1780 Haight Street, is the work of Kit Hall and Roman D'Argenzio. Both flea market aficionados and "pickers," Hall said he and Roman wanted to bring offerings to the street that they felt had recently gone by the wayside at Buffalo Exchange and Wasteland.

"We wanted to bring something special to Haight Street," Hall said. "We're just trying to kill it with kindness and have fun."

A local since 2005, Hall said he's been collecting as a hobby for a while, and it felt like time to make it official.

The store's wares feature primarily band and film t-shirts, with a mix of denim, sneakers and jackets, in what's currently an 80s and 90s-skewed mix.

Trove is open in what was for two years the New York Apparel storefront; New York Apparel is now back next door, at 1772 Haight, following the seismic retrofit their space was undergoing.

Trove's grand opening is slated for 5-10 p.m. on October 5th, at Trove. An afterparty at the Valencia Room (née Elbo Room, 647 Valencia Street), people who mention the party can get discounted entry for the DJ Qbert set.
