Topping the list is 2nd Shift Brewing, located at 1601 Sublette Ave. in the Hill. The brewery is the highest-rated inexpensive brewery in St. Louis, boasting 4.5 stars out of 78 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Joe E., who reviewed 2nd Shift Brewing on Oct. 21, wrote, "During a family vacation to St. Louis, we visited a number of breweries and this was my favorite. Craft breweries have come a long way and many have taken the taproom experience to new levels with great locations and refined interiors."

Tom J. noted, "We stopped in here for a couple of beers on a Friday afternoon. This is a big facility, especially a big tasting room. The area is very industrial, but just down the hill from the Hill."

Next up is Soulard's Anheuser-Busch Companies, situated at 1 Busch Place. With 4.5 stars out of 113 reviews on Yelp, the brewery has proven to be a local favorite for those looking for a low-priced option.

Yelper Emily T. wrote, "Went on the Day Fresh tour here with a friend recently on a Saturday afternoon and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I actually don't drink but there is plenty to see for those non drinkers of us out there!"

Forest Park Southeast's The U.R.B. - Urban Research Brewery, located at 4501 Manchester Ave., is another top choice. Yelpers give the cheap brewery, which offers pizza and more, 4.5 stars out of 86 reviews.

We turned there for an overview of The U.R.B. - Urban Research Brewery.

"The U.R.B," the business notes in the history section of its Yelp profile. "Urban Research Brewery opened in November 2016 and is located right across the street from Urban Chestnut's Grove Brewery & Bierhall in St. Louis, MO. Urban Chestnut Brewing Company is an unconventional-minded yet tradition-oriented brewer of craft beer."

Furthermore, we found this about the business's signature items: "The U.R.B," it states on Yelp in the section about specialties. "(Urban Research Brewery) is located in The Grove in St. Louis, MO. Sample test batches of beer and provide feedback using our digital survey system accessed via any smart device."
