Almost three months in, Haight Street Barbershop owners Eshawn Scranton and Alan Menenses say things are going great.

"I love it" in the Haight, Scranton said. "They've been really welcoming."

Scranton and Menenses are friends and San Francisco natives who got their chops barbering at Divisadero's Chicago's II, Scranton for seven years and Menenses for five.

They decided to go into business for themselves, and set up shop at 1795 Haight Street, the former home of Haight Street Nails (now across the street). Though they've been open since September 3, they celebrated a grand opening Halloween Night with a celebratory party and an Edward Scissorhands motif.

Haight Street Barbershop offers a full array of services, from kids' cuts ($35) to standard $50-60), facials and scalp massage ($60, $40) wave therapy ($80) and a CBD treatment ($100).

If you visit, make sure to say hi to Chicago, the English bulldog: "She's our mascot," Scranton says.

Haight Street Barbershop (1795 Haight St. at Shrader) is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. For availability, call 415-742-0162.
