A Christmas Eve shooting at Jones and O'Farrell streets killed a 29-year-old man, police said Wednesday. The shooting took place at approximately 11:24 p.m.

A 30-year-old man was also treated at the scene for an injury caused by a blow to the head by an object. Another 23-year-old woman sustained a minor gunshot wound to the ankle. She was treated at the scene and has since been released from a local hospital, officials said.

The man who died suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the torso was treated on the scene by police until paramedics arrived. He was declared dead at the scene.

This remains an ongoing investigation by the SFPD Homicide Detail. Police said Thursday that one suspect is a man in his 50s, a second suspect is a man in his 40s and a third suspect is a man is 30s. No arrest has been made.

As we reported earlier this month, a 21-year-old man was stabbed just two days earlier in the same area, near the intersection of Ellis and Leavenworth streets. And on December 20, a woman was shot near that same intersection. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
