It's time for a roundup of notable crimes the SFPD's Tenderloin Station in the weeks since our last roundup. All details come from official police reports, unless otherwise noted. 

Man punched, robbed in 3-on-1 attack

Just before 1 a.m. on December 22, a 21-year-old man was approached by three men said to be in their late twenties near the intersection of Eddy and Larkin streets.

The three suspects punched and kicked the victim before stealing his phone and money. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the suspects have not been identified. 

Man shot in Hallidie Plaza

SFPD units responded to the intersection of Hallidie Plaza and Market Street around 8:22 p.m. on December 19. A 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital after suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The incident is still under investigation. 

Woman robbed in 8-on-1 attack

A 53-year-old woman was assaulted by seven unknown male suspects and one female suspect around 10 p.m. on December 18 near the intersection of Turk and Leavenworth streets. 

The eight suspects stole money from the woman after beating her with their fists. The victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and no arrests have been made. 

Man robbed at knife point

Three men said to be in their forties pulled a knife on a 46-year-old man near the intersection of Turk and Leavenworth streets around 10 p.m. on December 18. The suspects stole the man’s backpack and remain at large. 

Man stabbed, robbed near Turk and Taylor

A 26-year-old man was stabbed around 10:10 p.m. on December 16 near the intersection of Turk and Taylor streets. A man said to be 27 years old stabbed the victim with a knife, stole his wallet and cellphone, and fled on foot. 

Man clubbed after being accused of stealing

Around 5:45 a.m. on December 15, a man said to be 45 years old accused another man of stealing on the 400 block of Eddy Street (near Leavenworth). 

The accuser hit the victim, a 46-year-old man, with a club, causing non-life-threatening injuries, before fleeing the scene. 

Man attacked with metal pipe

A man said to be in his early forties walked up to a 31-year-old man near the intersection of Leavenworth and McAllister streets around 5:40 p.m. on December 14, and hit him on the back of the head with a metal pipe. The victim ran away from the scene, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Argument escalates into assault

A man said to be in his mid twenties started arguing with a 35-year-old man on the 200 block of Leavenworth Street (near Turk) around 7:37 p.m. on December 9. The younger man assaulted the victim and fled the scene. 

Teen arrested after stealing woman’s phone

Around 5:16 p.m. on December 8, a 14-year-old girl snatched a 33-year-old woman’s phone from her hands near the intersection of Turk and Taylor streets. The teenager was later located by SFPD and the victim’s phone was recovered. 

Man punched, robbed in early morning assault

A woman said to be 30 years old approached a 28-year-old man near the intersection of Ellis and Jones streets around 6:30 a.m. on December 7, and punched the man in the face. After the victim fell to the ground, the female suspect stole property including the man's cell phone and fled the scene. No arrest has been made. 

Woman punched by unknown suspect

A 46-year-old woman was standing on the side of the road on the 300 block of Jones Street (near Eddy) around 2:30 p.m. on December 6 when a man said to be in his fifties punched her without provocation. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect has not been identified. 

Man assaulted, robbed in 3-on-1 attack

Around 11:21 p.m. on December 5, a 19-year-old man was beat up by two men said to be in their mid-forties and a woman said to be in her late thirties. After assaulting the victim, the three suspects stole his phone, money, and credit cards before fleeing in a sedan. No arrests have been made.
