There's a brand-new bakery in town. The new addition to Central Business District, called Breads on Oak Cafe & Bakery, is located at 222 Carondelet St.

This is the second location for the local chain. According to the business's Yelp page, Breads on Oak Cafe & Bakery is a vegan spot that specializes in "organic artisan breads baked in the Old World tradition in a stone hearth oven." On the menu, look for traditional King Cakes, sandwiches and pastries like tea biscuits and cinnamon rolls. (Explore the entire menu here.)

With a five-star rating out of one review on Yelp so far, the new addition seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Jiwon H., who was the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 24, wrote, "Do yourself a favor and get their king cake. Do yourself a favor and get their king cake. I don't know what else to tell you. Whether you are vegan or not, the king cake from this place is a real treat."

Head on over to check it out: Breads on Oak Cafe & Bakery is open from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. daily.
