Craving gelato? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Channel District, called Gelato-Go , is located at 1208 E. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 115.

Gelato-Go Tampa serves up just over 70 gelato and sorbet flavors combined, including peanut butter, rum and raisins, strawberry cheesecake and white peppermint. On the menu, also look for pizza slices, sandwiches, coffee and juice. Expect sweet treats ranging from chocolate brownies to custard-filled doughnuts to mini cannolis.

Gelato-Go Tampa has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.

michelle l., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 20, wrote, "Gelato-Go is the real deal! It's run by an Italian family. I had the affogato al caffe with tiramisu gelato. It was perfect! Creamy—and not too sweet because of the espresso. My husband had the stracciatella gelato, vanilla with fine chocolate flakes, and he seemed to like it. The offerings are similar to what one might find in Europe."

Yelper Dianne N. added, “I sampled, pistachio, dulce de leche, hazelnut and mint. I couldn't decide between pistachio and hazelnut, so I ended combining two flavors in the small size (total was $4.88) and it was plenty to share with my fiance! The flavors were creamy, rich and nutty.”

Head on over to check it out: Gelato-Go Tampa is open from 8 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekends.
