There's a brand-new cocktail bar in town. Called Chef’s Special Cocktail Bar, the fresh addition is located at 2165 N. Western Ave. in Bucktown.

Chef’s Special Cocktail Bar specializes in American-Chinese cuisine. On the menu, look for the pork shank in black bean sauce, potsticker with pork and cabbage or the sichuan eggplant. The drink menu features tropical flavors with botanical accents.

The fresh addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Coco C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 19, wrote, "Chef's Special Cocktail Bar is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. This restaurant is going to kill it. We got spring rolls, spare ribs, potstickers, shrimp (with) lobster sauce, tofu with ground pork, twice cooked pork, Mongolian beef, lo mein and sesame cake."

And Derek L. wrote, "We have eagerly been awaiting this opening for months.  We went on opening night and it lived up to and exceeded my hopes and expectations.  We tried what seemed like half the menu and everything was amazing.  We'll definitely be coming back many times!"

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Chef’s Special Cocktail Bar is open from 5 p.m.–2 a.m. on weekdays and Sunday and 5 p.m.–3 a.m. on Saturday.
