Washington's hospitality industry is experiencing strong job growth. Local employers posted 96 new jobs over the past week and 614 in the last month, more than any other local industry, according to ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace.

The hospitality industry also came in third in terms of local employers adding new jobs. In the past month, 88 companies listed open jobs for Washington-based workers in that area.

Top companies hiring locally in restaurants and hospitality include The Watergate Hotel, Riggs Washington DC hotel and the Cosmos Club, "a private social club for men and women distinguished in science, literature and the arts or public service," according to a recent job opening posted by the club.

Jobs posted by The Watergate Hotel in the past month included cooks, managers and chefs, while Riggs Washington DC was hiring cooks, servers and bartenders. The Cosmos Club sought cooks, managers and servers.
