It's time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. All details are from official SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.

Argument leads to assault and arrest

On January 30 at 5:10 p.m., three men, 44, 52, and 67, got into an argument on Market Street, near Dolores Street. The 44-year-old and 67-year-old then attacked the other man with a lanyard and keys. An arrest was made, and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  

Burglar steals scooter

Between 8 p.m. on January 27 and 7 a.m. on January 28, an unknown suspect broke into a garage on Caselli Avenue, near Market Street. The suspect stole a scooter, lock and helmet belonging to a 33-year-old male resident.  

Hot prowler steals pressure washer

On January 27 at 10:00 p.m., an unknown suspected entered a garage on Eureka Street, near 17th Street. The suspect stole a pressure washer, jackets, and a lockbox belonging to a 93-year-old male resident before fleeing.  

Market Street fight

On January 24th at 11:40 p.m., a 32-year-old man got into an altercation with a suspect of unknown age on Market Street, near Noe. The victim lost consciousness and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  

16-year-old robbed at knifepoint

On January 23 at 10:58 a.m., a 16-year-old boy was standing at the corner of 17th and Church when a vehicle stopped in front of him. Two male suspects, believed to be 15-20, got out of the car, then revealed a knife and demanded the victim's property. When he refused, they grabbed his phone. No injuries were reported.  

Liberty street assault, robbery

Early on January 14, at 1:30 a.m., a 28-year-old woman was on Liberty Street, near Noe, when an older man, 50-60, punched her and stole her bicycle, phone, and backpack before fleeing. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.  

Noe robbery ends in arrest

On January 9 at 7:36 p.m., two men, both 30, were on Noe Street near Market when an older man, 39, yelled at them to give him their money. The victims complied, giving him their wallets. The suspect was later arrested and the stolen items were returned.  

Phone robbery aboard train

On January 8 at 3:40 p.m., a 46-year-old man was on a Muni train near Church and Duboce when an unknown male suspect grabbed his phone. The two struggled over the phone before the suspect fled on foot with the stolen item, leaving the victim uninjured. Police did not specify the Muni line in question, but the N-Judah and J-Church both stop at the intersection.
