A new bar and New American spot, offering pizza and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 1 N. Haven St. in Kresson, the fresh arrival is called The Boiler Room.

The Boiler Room, nestled in the former site of a historic woodworking mill, specializes in New American cuisine. On the menu, expect to see items like raw oysters, lamb chops and rockfish pho. There are also handheld bites like brick-oven pizza, burgers and tacos.

The Boiler Room has garnered good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

Andrea P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 14, wrote, "The wood stove completes the ambiance and makes it a cozy place to have a drink. The menu was very well rounded from pizza to burgers to seafood. Also has great service. Hidden gem."

Yelper Meg H. added, “We got the fried cheese curds, Cajun dumpling soup, brisket pizza, mac and cheese and the goat cheese and tomatoes. A great date night spot or a casual happy hour with friends.”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. The Boiler Room is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
