Looking to chow down on some Asian fusion fare? A new spot has you covered. The new addition to Journal Square, called Szechaun Mirchi, is located at 850 Newark Ave.

This is the second location of the Cliffside Park restaurant, which debuted in 2014. Like the original, this new outpost of Szechuan Mirchi, which has moved into a 2,400-square-foot space just a block from arts complex Mana Contemporary, offers up a wide array of dishes inspired by the cuisines of China, India and Southeast Asia.

On the menu, you will find starters like chicken satay, Tibetan momos, meat and seafood dishes like Kung Pao chicken, Sichuan-style lamb and Thai red curry with shrimp. Vegetarian options include chili paneer and tofu with broccoli and a selection of fried rice and noodle offerings. To drink, there's mango lassi, Thai milk tea and more. Szechuan Mirchi delivers.

The fresh addition has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Kristy B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 31, wrote, "This place is awesome! The food and service was amazing."

Yelper N D. added, “Food was amazing. It's a beautiful restaurant."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Szechaun Mirchi is open from 11:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Sunday and Monday and from 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Tuesday-Thursday.)
