New American spot CookHouse debuts in Bolton HillPhoto: Annie V./Yelp

A new cocktail bar and New American spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Bolton Hill, called CookHouse, is located at 1501 Bolton St.

CookHouse, which replaced B. Bistro, offers European-focused fare, according to Baltimore Magazine. On the menu, look for chicken liver mousse on toast, lamb shank pie and pan-seared cauliflower steak.

The new arrival has garnered an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Scott K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 6, wrote, "This is the best bite of beef I've had in Baltimore in several years. This is the best part of the ribeye. It's plenty filling yet also packed with beefy flavor. It has a lightly drizzled, yummy red wine sauce, which mixes with the crispy fries for the perfect bite."

Yelper C B. added, “The inside is really impressive and feels both super high-end but also welcoming. I liked that you could get some really good standbys but also branch out if you're feeling adventurous with appetizers like the boiled peanuts and a lot of tasty entrées."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: CookHouse is open from 5 p.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 5-10 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
