Hungry? A new neighborhood New American spot has you covered. The newcomer, called The Tillage, is located at 251 W. 30th St., just south of Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.
Opened by the team behind The Harrow in Hell's Kitchen, The Tillage serves a menu of updated American classics, including small plates, salads, sandwiches, steaks and seafood. Stop in for chicken wings tossed in cilantro and ghost pepper, fried oysters served with chipotle mayonnaise, lobster sliders, the house burger with tomato confit, the spicy mussels with bacon, and entrees like the sauteed branzino and the New York strip loin with habanero steak sauce.
On weekends, The Tillage offers a full brunch menu featuring pancakes, French toast and three styles of eggs Benedict. The new restaurant also boasts a full bar mixing up 10 different signature cocktails. Check out the vodka-based Tillage cocktail with strawberry and rhubarb or the Oaxacan Monk with mezcal and genepi liquer.
With a five-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, The Tillage has been warmly received by patrons.
Sarah B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 22, wrote, "Great new spot near Madison Square Garden! Finally, a place with a good happy hour close by!"
