A new virtual reality center has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 11600 Rock Rose Ave., Unit 128, in North Burnet, the fresh addition is called Sandbox VR.

Sandbox VR provides futuristic, full-body virtual reality experiences for groups of up to six people at a time. "Our exclusive worlds let you feel like you're living inside a game or movie, and are built by EA, Sony and Ubisoft veterans," states the business' website. The VR games are made possible through the use of motion capture cameras, 3D precision body trackers, haptic suits and other custom hardware.

With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new virtual reality center has gotten a good response.

Tiffany T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 18, wrote, "It's definitely an immersive experience."

Andrew M. wrote, "Come here! Best experience in Austin hands down. The equipment, room, game and overall experience are definitely worth every penny!"

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Sandbox VR is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday.
