Topping the list is Amira Bakery. Located at 4101 E. Evans Ave., Unit B, in University Hills, it is the highest-rated inexpensive Mediterranean restaurant in Denver, boasting four stars out of 107 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Ethan M., who reviewed Amira Bakery on April 5, wrote, "My quest for the perfect falafel sandwich has brought me here. ... First impression... this thing is massive. It had to have been at least a foot long. The flavor more than delivered as well... generous portions of lightly fried falafel, amazingly savory hummus, fries and fattoush veggies all tightly wrapped and perfectly grilled in a tortilla."

Sukanya B. noted, "This is an awesome hole-in-the-wall bakery. Their baklavas are yummy."

2. Shondiz
