Topping the list is Rose's Luxury. Located at 717 Eighth St. SE in Capitol Hill, it is the most popular high-end New American restaurant in Washington, boasting 4.5 stars out of 1,954 reviews on Yelp.

Yelper May P., who reviewed the restaurant on April 4, wrote, "We had the classic lychee salad that every review prior raves about. We selected the eggplant a la Norma pasta, had a side Italian bread, meatloaf, salad and orange cake. Let me just say, the lychee salad is literally fireworks in your mouth. I can eat another bowl of this to myself."

Gregory J. noted, "The entire menu is tapas and they go out their way to combine unique tastes that I would never dream of combining, but every dish was absolutely amazing."

2. Blue Duck Tavern

Next up is West End's Blue Duck Tavern, situated at 1201 24th St. NW. With four stars out of 2,379 reviews on Yelp, it has proved to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.

We looked there for an overview of Blue Duck Tavern.

"Blue Duck Tavern invites guests and area residents to gather and celebrate in good taste by offering an elegant, modern setting and menu selections focusing on the freshest ingredients available from regional purveyors," it writes on Yelp.

"The breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch menus of Blue Duck Tavern showcase the best of the season as executive chef Adam Howard brings sharply focused, bold flavors to the table through simple, time-honored cooking methods and modern technologies. Three-quarters of the menu is prepared in the wood-burning oven, while using braising, preserving and smoking techniques to bring the true flavors of America's wholesome foods to the table," its Yelp page says.

Lynadria W. wrote, "I've been here about five-six times since the COVID shutdown. This place is amazing and highly recommend it. Everything is impressive: the ordering, ease of pickup and service, and the food. The three-course meal is a must-try while this is available."
