If you've got New American on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh arrival to the Hill, called Pit Stop, is located at 2130 MacKlind Ave.

Pit Stop is located inside a former service station and serves up comfort foods like tacos, pasta, wraps, burgers and fried chicken. On the menu, look for the braised pork belly, the spicy honey shrimp bowl and baby back ribs.

With a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has already made a good impression.

Stephanie M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 29, wrote, "I'm so excited about the new concept inside this darling location. It's a remodeled former gas station with excellent patio space lined with flowers, so cute. I could sit outside all evening and chat with all the passersby."

Yelper Sergio O. added, "This place honestly blew me away! The food was exceptional! Try the brisket ravioli!"

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Pit Stop is open from 4 p.m.–9 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 4 p.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m.–9 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
