AIDS 2020 Interfaith Service
Start your Tuesday by gathering online with interfaith leaders to celebrate, reflect and pray for resilience in the fight against AIDS at the start of the annual conference of the International AIDS Society.

In Conversation: Davina Semo & Amy Owen
Then, join the Minnesota Street Project for a conversation with San Francisco-based artist Davina Semo, who will chat with guest curator Amy Owen about her practice and latest body of work, Core Reflections. Semo's work was on view at the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art in Napa until shelter-in-place orders took effect earlier this spring.
Semo’s work explores tensions between nature, society, and the self. This discussion will explore the origins of Semo’s commission and its relevance during this moment of both physical isolation and civil unrest.

Over at Green Apple Books, Merlin Sheldrake will discuss his new book "Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds & Shape Our Futures" together with author Michael Pollan on Zoom.
Sheldrake's first book addresses nature and philosophy with a bit of science and poetic expression. Hear about "an enchanting 'superorganism'" during this event, for "everyone who believes that wonder still exists and hope can be found in the unlikeliest places: around us, under us, even inside us," event organizers wrote.

Manny's LIVE: Mondaire Jones & Ritchie Torres - Two New Voices in Congress
Mondaire Jones and Ritchie Torres are both first-time candidates for the House of Representatives, running to represent their communities in New York — the Bronx and Rockland County respectively.
Both won their primaries last month, and they would be the first openly gay Black men to serve in Congress come January if they go on to win in the general election.
Join the conversation as they talk about their guiding principles, what got them into politics, and what they want to accomplish in Congress.

Talk on Leafless Orchids by Mary Mancini

Expect a "show and tell" session that will help you improve your green thumb, as well as a raffle for plant gift certificates, held online as shelter-in-place continues.
