News 3 LV reported that the collision occurred just before 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Jones Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. After colliding with another vehicle, the car careered into the shelter and subsequently caught fire.
Despite the severity of the crash, the two occupants of the car were able to escape with minor injuries. No injuries were reported at the nearby bus stop, which was unoccupied at the time. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that no one at the bus stop was injured in the incident.
In a separate account, FOX5 Vegas shared additional details about the aftermath, stating that one driver was transported with minor injuries. By around 4:30 a.m., the disruption from the collision had cleared, and the intersection was reopened to the public.
