Tragedy struck early Sunday morning when deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station were called to the scene of a violent assault on the 1800 block of Normandy Court. The incident, which occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m., left one male adult dead from significant injuries and a juvenile with a gunshot wound. The adult was found by responding deputies, and pronounced deceased at the location, as per the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation quickly unfolded with the solitary juvenile victim arriving at a local hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. Investigators linked his wounds back to the same incident, which claimed the life of an unidentified male. As the authorities work to shed light on the events leading up to the violent encounter, they have withheld the identity of the deceased, ensuring that proper next-of-kin notification protocols are observed, as reported by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
In the wake of the chaos, the Riverside Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit took over the case. They are calling for anyone with information to come forward. In a statement made by the Riverside Sheriff’s Department website, Investigator D. Robertson of the Central Homicide Unit and Investigator J. Vasquez of the Hemet Station are the designated contacts for potential leads.
