Alaska Airlines is upping the ante with a second nonstop service to Seattle (SEA), while Frontier Airlines will begin to directly connect Oklahoma City to Atlanta (ATL).
The upgraded service to Seattle commences on July 16 and persists through August 19, as reported by the City of Oklahoma City's official website. Alaska Airlines will use Boeing 737 aircraft, capable of seating roughly 175 passengers, to accommodate the additional summertime travelers eager to swiftly traverse to their destination. This seasonal expansion comes as a boon to those seeking to explore the evergreen allure of Seattle without the hassle of layovers.
Meanwhile, Frontier Airlines is extending its map of nonstops from OKC. With flights set to take off thrice weekly from May 22 until August 17, Atlantans and Oklahomans alike can look forward to easier access between the two metropolises. This addition places Atlanta on the Frontier's map beside Denver, Las Vegas, and Orlando as destinations served nonstop from OKC.
Jeff Mulder, the director of airports, heralded the increase in service with favorable commentary. "Seattle is a busy market for OKC, and we are happy to see this service grow. Adding Atlanta with Frontier gives our passengers more options with our low-fare carriers."
