From the organizer

The Gubbio Project, held inside St. Boniface Church in San Francisco’s Tenderloin, is dedicated to giving any and all people the right to rest.

People suffering from homelessness and poverty can come into the church and sleep on a pew Monday through Friday from 6am to 3pm (Tuesday until 1pm). The pews and floors of the 133 Golden Gate Ave. church are packed with people trying to get some rest after an often sleepless and unsafe night on the streets. The church houses the only program in the country where homeless people are afforded a place to sleep during the day. Lack of sleep is one of the most critical health issues for the homeless.

Comedy by socio-political comedian, W. Kamau Bell (host of the upcoming CNN travel show, "The United Shades of America," best known for his critically acclaimed FX comedy series, "Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell"), and reception and music with DJ Cuba and D8.
