Executive Sushi Chef Mike Lim of Roka Akor often shares colorful photos on his personal Instagram (@ChefMikeLim) of the upscale Japanese restaurant’s daily food deliveries, mainly featuring high quality fish flown in from Japan and vibrant sashimi platters.
Starting March 1, Chef Mike will arrange an off-the-menu reservation for those who request it via Instagram. While Roka Akor is known for their signature omakase tasting, incorporating Wagyu steak, seafood, and sushi ($138), followers in-the-know can order a sushi-specific omakase tasting ($118 per person). With only five reservations per night during dinner service, this sushi tasting is unlike any others in the city for one month only. Diners will be seated at the sushi counter and have the unique opportunity to interact with Chef Mike and his team, which is an integral part of the Roka Akor dining experience.
How to book: Beginning March 1 - March 31, guests can book the sushi omakase via Instagram, which is only available Monday – Wednesday. Seating is at the sushi bar with only 5 reservations each evening. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance, and you can book this experience by Direct Messaging Mike (@ChefMikeLim ) via Instagram with contact info and date preference(s). A representative from Roka Akor will reach out for a credit card to hold the reservation.
