From the organizer

On Sunday, July 29, more than 27,000 runners will fill the streets for the 41st running of The San Francisco Marathon. Runners will enjoy waterfront miles along the Embarcadero, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Crissy Field; speed past landmarks like Coit Tower, Golden Gate Park, and AT&T Park; and pound the pavement through San Francisco’s liveliest neighborhoods like Haight-Ashbury and The Mission. Spectators can cheer on runners along the course and join the celebration at the Finish Line Festival at Justin Herman Plaza.

Registration for all races - full marathon, 1st and 2nd half marathons, ultramarathon, team ultramarathon and 5k - is still open.

This year, The San Francisco Marathon is reminding athletes that no matter the obstacles - long training runs in the mornings or San Francisco’s own enemy, Karl the Fog - that #ThisIsHappening, and nothing can stop them from enjoying this experience. Whether you’re a runner or spectator, we hope to see you there!
