The Uptown Shamrock Walk is Friday March 17th featuring 7 Uptown businesses offering drink specials and tasty culinary treats, using signature menu concepts w/ an Irish twist. Participating venues include Luka’s Taproom, The Port Bar, Bar Dogwood, Make Westing, The Uptown Nightclub, Drake’s Dealership and Calavera.
Join us for a night of green pride – loud and proud! Participating pogues, rogues and assorted ne’er do wells will congregate at Luka’s Taproom for a hearty ballast of corned beef, cabbage and shepherd’s pie before embarking on a spirited journey through Uptown Oakland with stops at Port Bar, Dogwood, Make Westing, Uptown Nightclub and The Hive.
The old saint himself will lead revelers from stop-to-stop with the power of his shillelagh. Each stop will offer food, drinks and music to help keep the Irish flowing. The sacred journey will end back just one block from the starting point at the Hive, where Calavera and Drake’s Dealership will keep the party going with more food, drink and music until the wee hours.
True die-hards will sleep it off and return for a hair-of-the-dog brunch later in the morning at Luka’s and Calavera. Always remember what Saint Pat taught us so many years ago – “He who stays drunk is never hungover!”
St Patrick leaves Luka’s at 6PM. Follow #UptownShamrockWalk to catch up. The pub crawl is BARTable. Be Smart, Ride BART.
