The reopening of the Castro's historic neighborhood restaurant Cafe Flore (2298 Market St.), now to be called Fisch & Flore, has been delayed as construction officially kicked off two weeks ago.

Last week, the San Francisco Planning Commission unanimously approved a conditional use permit for specialty market Muuu Meat at 3998 18th Street (at Noe), formerly home to a 7-Eleven.

A new restaurant is heading to the Church and Market corridor. California-Italian fusion restaurant The Rustic is set to take over 215 Church Street, the space that was most recently home Cook Shoppe, but which has sat empty for four years.

The Castro's newest Italian restaurant, Pasta Panino, will be opening soon at 4150 18th Street, formerly Taqueria El Capitan.

A little over 18 months after its 2021 debut, Castro restaurant Copas (2223 Market Street) has decided to make a pivot.

Mission District cafe Sisters Coffee Shop is set to open its second location in the Castro at 506 Castro Street, formerly Earthbar.
