Another of the towering, glowing neon signs leftover from the heyday of Mission Street's days as a hub of cinema has come back to life. It's the sign above the Grand Theater, which is now home to arts org Gray Area, at 2665 Mission Street (between 22nd and 23rd). 

Mission District bar Kilowatt is changing hands, and its new ownership team won a Place of Entertainment permit at Tuesday night’s SF Entertainment Commission meeting to bring live music back to the bar’s storied stage.

Hundreds gathered in the Mission District Wednesday night for the annual Día de los Muertos procession, the first in-person event since 2019.

An April tent fire destroyed an Amos Goldbaum mural at Church and 15th Streets, but Goldbaum is restoring it now and expects to finish by the end of the week.
