Four New Murals Liven Up Lower Haight
Four new murals have appeared around the Lower Haight in recent weeks, adding to the neighborhood's already-rich stable of public art.

The above mural is a work by local artist Romanowski which has been gradually taking shape over the past few months on the side of 663 Haight Street. Just a few doors away, at the corner of Haight and Pierce, there's a new mural of Professor Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan environmentalist who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004:
Further east, Lee's Popular Market at 480 Haight Street has gotten a colorful new facade -- definitely a welcome change from its usual blighted state.
And finally, there's the unfinished mural of ten pooches on the side of Abe's Market, at the corner of Fillmore and Page.
Anybody know the artists responsible for those last three? If so, let us know!
