The fate of tour buses roaming the streets around Alamo Square will be decided at a hearing today.
Back in September we first got word of two proposals under consideration. One would ban the buses from the 25-square-block area around Alamo Square, while the second would allow enclosed buses only on Hayes Street between Divisadero and Webster streets. - Delaying traffic and transit by slowing or stopping on Hayes Street
- Parking in Muni stops or blocking driveways
- Using amplified sound to provide narration to passengers
- Generating loud engine noise, particularly when climbing hills
- Crossing lanes of oncoming traffic when making wide right turns
- Releasing noxious emissions
