Last Unit At 493 Haight Street AvailablePhoto: Devon Chulick / Hoodline
If you're hoping to live in the newly-restored building at the southeast corner of Haight and Fillmore, this could be your last chance for a while.

An ad on Craigslist is offering what claims to be the last available unit in the building.  It's a 1-bedroom with "charming Bay Windows, spacious floor plan, and ample closet space," and it's listed for $3,600 a month.  The move-in date is April 1st.

The building's residential units first hit the market six months ago, following nearly two years of renovations in the wake of the September 2011 fire.  At the time, the eye-popping prices—including $3,995 for what was effectively a studio—sparked some heated discussions amongst our readers.  "It's unbelievable someone would pay 4K for a one bedroom apartment," and "Glad to see they were able to capitalize on tragedy," were a couple of the more popular reactions in our comments section.

Apparently the prices were right though, at least for the folks who have since snapped up all but one of the location's 21 units.
