I Wish Divisadero Had....Photo: Candy Chang
There's no doubt about it—Divisadero is a rapidly changing corridor. But even with the arrival of new businesses every couple of months, there are still a lot of storefronts that remain empty.

The former location of K.J. Produce, for example. The Harding Theater. The space between Bean Bag and Health Haven. The tiny shop where Magpie & Rye used to live. And the list goes on.

(Harding Theater has been on the market for years, though real estate listings recently disappeared.)

(The space formerly occupied by Magpie & Rye is up for lease.)

(Yoga Loft isn't returning, leaving their space open for new business.)
With endless possibilities in mind, we turn to you for your thoughts. In the spirit of Candy Chang, we asked a few local residents what they'd like to have in the neighborhood. Here's what they had to suggest...

"A bookstore. They're a great place to spend an hour and $20." - Jess, age 32
"Somewhere that has open mic nights." - Evan, age 21
"A place to get banh mi sandwiches." - Emily, age 29
"A co-working space that's not a coffee shop." - Sarah, age 34
"A do-it-yourself costume shop, with sewing machines and supplies and people to help you when you get stuck." - Danica, age 34
"A bowling alley. I feel like it would fill a void." - Ed, age 34.5
"Taco Bell. I love that shit." - Henry, age 46
"BOOKSTORE!!!" - Caileen, age 29
"A place to buy Vinyl." - Steve, age 41
Now it's your turn, readers. What would you like to see on Divisadero?
