There are lots of things going on this weekend that we thought you should know about.
First up: Sway Clothing is having a party on Friday night to celebrate their first year in the Haight! The first 25 people in the door get gifts, and everyone who attends gets 10% off in the store. They'll have booze, too, and DJ Jonathan Reddick spinning. It's from 6pm-9pm.

Also on Friday, Moonshiner Collective, an indie folk projected started by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dan Curcio, will be at Milk Bar at 9pm.

On Saturday, there'll be an Alvord Lake cleanup from 9am-11:30am. On the agenda: weeding, mulching, shoveling, sweeping the steps and general prettifying. Wear layers, dress for weather, meet at Haight & Stanyan and look for the SF Rec & Park truck. Refreshments will be provided by ... McDonalds? If you can commit, call Susan at (415) 861-3195 so they can make sure they have enough tools for everybody.

On Sunday, local resident Chip Isaac will be leading one of his historical walking tours around the neighborhood. It'll start at 11am sharp at the Park Branch library, and it'll last for about two hours. He says the terrain will be "mostly flat," and cover about a mile and a half. Free, but donations are much appreciated. You'll learn about "the beginnings of our neighborhood, about the Victorian architecture found in the Haight, how a freeway almost was built through the Panhandle, and of course, a lot about the Hippies and the Summer of Love."

While you're out and about, make sure you swing by Alembic, which has just been named one of the 33 best cocktail bars in the country by Thrillist. Cheers!
