Block Party In The Lower Haight Tomorrow

If you're free tomorrow afternoon, head on down to the 400 block of Haight between Webster and Fillmore for the return of the neighborhood block party and sidewalk sale.

From 11am to 5pm, vendors will be set up in front of Wing Wings selling a variety of goods and services. Some expected highlights:

  • Vega cafe will be serving Stumptown Nitro Cold Brew coffee
  • La Sombra (who we profiled a few days ago) will have fresh juices & smoothies
  • Prima Bike Maintenance will offering free bicycle tune-ups
  • Team Terrible will be having a clothing pop-up
  • Fine Line Vintage will be seling vintage clothing & accessories
  • Wing Wings will have food & drink specials all day
  • ...and a local Girl Scout will be selling cookies

Plus, anybody looking to sell their own art, jewelry, records or clothes is welcome to come down and set up shop.

The event is in coordination with the first-ever "Tour De Pollo" Alleycat Race, a citywide bike race that makes stops at various chicken joints around town. The race starts at 1pm and costs $5 to enter, so suit up if you've got the energy, or swing by the block party on foot if you'd prefer a more leisurely neighborhood weekend activity.
