Aviator Nation Opens At Haight & Ashbury TomorrowPhoto: Amy Stephenson/Hoodline

As we noted back in January, surf-oriented and vintage-inspired apparel outfit Aviator Nation is headed to the former Haight Ashbury Vintage space at 1501 Haight St.

If you've been paying attention, you've probably noticed that the folks at Aviator Nation have been hard at work. In addition to hiring staff who share their "outdoor, beachy inspired lifestyle," they've spruced up the interior of the space, installed nifty retro fluorescent signage with their logo, and painted the exterior of the building a bright blue, including the security gate.

According to the company's Instagram, the window is going to have a California sunset motif, courtesy of owner Paige Mycoskie. There also appears to be a stage in the works, though whether live music will be a big part of the store's offering remains to be seen.

Now that the space on the southwest corner of Haight & Ashbury is ready, the official grand opening is set for tomorrow, and the Aviator Nation folks are throwing a party to celebrate. It starts at 8pm, and they'll have a special performance by the addictive Orange County-based pop band The Colourist

The San Francisco location will be Aviator Nation's fourth retail shop, and the first in Northern California (the other three are in Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach). You can check out the company's aesthetic and apparel offerings on the website here
