Rusu Style Comes To Haight StreetPhoto: Camden Avery/Hoodline

We announced  earlier this month that a clothier called Rusu Style would be filling the storefront formerly occupied by the Fizzary (and before that, until its departure in early 2013, by the Sock Shop). The debut follows the Fizzary's decision to continue operation only out of its Mission store.

Since the announcement, the store has got some inventory on the racks and the door open, and even though the sign out front isn't quite finished (wait until next week), we know what to expect.

Rusu Style is a new business owned by husband-and-wife duo Sunesh and Angie Shahi. The business, in Angie's name, is a new effort by the pair. Sunesh, filling in on a break from his day job in tech support, told us yesterday that the store was a new kind of endeavor for them, and that they were taking the project from a hobby to a full-blown business.

The store is currently being stocked with tutus, leggings, fishnets and other sartorial necessaries for life on Haight Street, somewhat in the vein of Piedmont Boutique, although it remains to be seen what else the store will have to offer once it's fully stocked.

Sunesh said that the store should be completely ready for perusal in a week or so, but that the cash register is up and running today, so stop by to check out the Haight's newest retail addition.
