New Stores dot Biz
HoodLAB opens, Fizzary gearing up.

Have you seen HoodLAB yet? They opened ten days ago at the former astroturf t-shirt shop site at 1669 Haight. They're a combo store and art gallery, with a flagship store in Denver, Colorado. The Haight location is their second. For the fall/winter season, HoodLAB will be feature a limited run of HoodLamb jackets and apparrel, designed by SF artists Sam Flores and Jeremy Fish which will only be available at the Haight Street store. The concept behind the space is sustainable art and fashion:
We strive to create a unique collection with selected artists. Always using Hemp and other eco-friendly and cruelty free materials as a base - Never overdone and always original.
We believe that Art and Sustainable Fashion help preserve the world and enrich the lives of those it touches.
Also, a soda shop is on the horizon. The Fizzary, an apothecary-style candy and soda shop at Mission and 25th is opening a second location where Even Boutique used to be. Check out their soda list - to call it extensive would be almost insulting. Also, their sign is pure whimsy:
No hard opening date yet, but they're hard at work in the space. We spied an old-fashioned cash register through the crack in the door.
