El Paso’s city council will consider a resolution to force bilingual fraud warnings and a 15‑second delay on crypto ATMs as officials try to blunt kiosk scams. The draft would also create fines and possible misdemeanor penalties for repeat noncompliance.

A former El Paso officer pleaded guilty to assault and family-violence charges and received 10 years of community supervision, short county jail time and must surrender his TCOLE license. The case stems from assaults involving two victims and months of court activity.

El Paso will require annual fire‑license inspections for every food truck after Texas changed how mobile vendors are licensed. Fees, documentation and safety checks are now required.
