A corner lot at Geary and Parker has been a fire-damaged ghost of its former self since a construction crew accidentally struck a gas line in 2019, taking out Hong Kong Lounge II and four other buildings with it. Seven years later, updated plans are calling for 89 apartments on the site — and for once, the zoning stars are actually aligned. Getting it built is a different story entirely.
