A photo showing a dramatic car wreck near Andronico's on Irving was posted to Reddit today, with commenters speculating about how exactly the white Camry ended up on top of the parked vehicle.

How indeed? We contacted Mindy Talmadge at SFFD, who confirmed that the collision happened on Funston between Lincoln & Irving. Police from Taraval Station responded to the scene shortly before 5am; according to SFFD, three vehicles were involved, one of which ended up pancaking the parked car.

No injuries were reported at the scene, and no arrests were made. Police traffic investigators are reconstructing the incident, said Talmadge.

The speed limit in that area is 25 mph; based on the photo, we're guessing excessive speed was a factor.

We'll update if and when we find out anything more. In the meantime: got theories about how this could have happened?

Update, 1:40pm: A couple second-hand observations (thanks PorkedBun and Robert M.) indicate that the mysterious third car may have rammed into the parked cars at high speed, pushing the Camry on top of the other car before presumably (and incredibly) driving away.
