It's been an interesting few weeks since our last crime and safety roundup, and we've got a mix of items to report beyond the usual robberies and assaults, including felony charges for the owner of a notorious "drug house" and the arrest of the "wig prowler." (All information comes from SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.)

Dolores Hit-And-Run

On November 14th at 3:00pm, a male, 31, was riding his motorcycle at 18th and Dolores when he was cut off by a white vehicle. He fell to the ground as he tried to avoid colliding with the car. The driver of the white vehicle left the scene, and the victim was transported to the hospital with a broken leg. No arrest has been made.

Sanchez Hot Prowl

Two women were both sleeping in a residence near 19th and Sanchez on November 16th, when an unknown suspect entered their home and went through items in the lower rooms of the house overnight. The victims, 46 and 77, awoke to find a television, laptop, and luggage (with contents) all stolen. No arrest has been made.

Grocery Shopper Assault

On November 17th at 9:57pm, a woman, 39, was approaching a flight of stairs at a grocery store near Market and Church streets. A man, 20-25, ran up behind her and pushed her down the stairs, fracturing her clavicle. The suspect escaped and the woman was transported to a local hospital. No arrest was made.

Walgreens Window-Smasher Arrested

Our own Steven Bracco alerted us to an incident at the 18th and Castro Walgreens on November 20th at 7:30pm. A man, 40-50, was causing a disturbance in the Walgreens and was asked to leave the store. Witnesses then saw the man banging on a window behind the cashier with something metallic on his hand, causing the window to shatter. Two customers followed the man to Collingwood, where police arrived and arrested the suspect with the help of a witness.

"Drug House" Owner Facing Felony Charges

On November 23rd, we reported on homeowner Joel Elliott, who's facing a city lawsuit over drug issues and code violations at his property at 517-519 Sanchez St. Thanks to a tip from reader Bay Gelldawg, we learned that Elliott is also facing two felony charges, both associated with the many drug raids and issues at the house. We reached out to the District Attorney and will update as we learn more.

Noe Street Robbery

A 60-year-old woman was robbed by two men in their 30s on November 24th, near 21st and Noe streets. The woman was walking at 7:35pm when the two men approached her, took her bag, phone, and currency, and walked away. The victim followed and observed them as they got into a vehicle and fled the scene. No arrest was made and no description of the vehicle could be given.

The "Wig Prowler"

On November 30th, SFist broke the news of a "Wig Prowler," who was acting odd around homes in the Castro area, apparently trying door handles and peeking through fences and gates.

In a tweet from journalist Sergio Quintana, we learned that the "Wig Prowler" was arrested by the SFPD.

We reached out to the Police Department, but have yet to hear back from them.

Grand View Sock Thief

A woman, 66, awoke on December 4th to find that the garage of her home on Grand View Avenue had been broken into. The unknown suspect stole coins and socks, but apparently nothing else. No arrest has been made.

Argument Leads To Assault

On December 5th at 1:50am, two men got into a verbal argument near Market and 16th streets. One of the men, mid-20s, punched the other man, 46, in the face. The older man lost consciousness and fell to the ground. He was transported to Davies Medical Center with head and mouth injuries. No arrest was made.
