Last August, we broke the news that Flywheel Sports indoor cycling studio was opening a flagship location in the One Market building at 71 Spear St. by the end of the year. We followed up to find out if it was still on track and were told it is, but that it's been delayed until September (the Walnut Creek studio opened in October 2015, and there's also a Sunnyvale location).
A spokesperson told us delays with permitting—surprise, surprise—and securing a local construction team were to blame. Also, she noted that contrary to earlier information we were given, this location won't include a FlyBarre studio, but it will have 70-plus bikes and plenty of luxury locker rooms.
